Hikari Osamura

Hikari Osamura is a Japanese filmmaker born in Gifu, 1991. After graduating from Sorbonne Nouvelle University in audiovisual and cinema studies, she taught herself filmmaking and first worked as an assistant to Mary Stephen, editor of Yoichiro Okutani’s “Nude At Heart (2020)” (documentary film by Yoichiro Okutani). She presented the short version of her first documentary film “Love Letter to Mamie” at the Yamagata International Documentary Festival 2021 and completed it in 2023 with support from Tokyo University of the Arts.
